- TROPEA
Tropea is only 10 km from the village, is a small town perched on a huge rock cliff and is reflected on a crystal sea.
The old city is situated on a terrace overlooking the sea, which lies opposite the island (rock) with the old Benedictine sanctuary (Church of Santa Maria Island).
The old town is full of churches of various ages (Norman cathedral, St. Francis of Assisi, S. Maria della Neve, the Annunciation, etc..) and impressive palaces.
Venturing into the old town you will discover small shops selling local products (such as the famous "Nduja", the red onion with all its derivatives like jam and many other products of high gastronomy of Calabria).
An impressive and rich market is held every Saturday morning, and can buy products of the 'local crafts, but also clothing and accessories of all kinds.
- CAPO VATICANO
The area of Capo Vaticano is located overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea near Tropea, directly opposite the Aeolian Islands and the Stromboli.
Capo Vaticano is of outstanding beauty: sheer cliffs with breathtaking views, remote beaches with many small bays (some accessible only by sea or through rough paths), all surrounded by a rich Mediterranean flora and fauna and unspoilt.
From the beach of the village you can rent pedal boats and book guided tours by boat, with a chance to see the most spectacular and beautiful coastlines inof the area such as Capo Vaticano , GrotticelleRiace Bay , Isleof Tropea , etc..
